1987 was a year of lots of brand new options for the Corvette. Some convenience options included an illuminated vanity mirror, a passenger-side power seat base, twin remote-heated mirrors, and defogger options.The Callaway Twin-Turbo engine package was also introduced in 1987. It wasn’t a factory-installed option but could be ordered through participating Chevrolet dealers.
The 1987 Corvette earned a claim to fame in 1987 when it was featured in Car and Driver. The magazine named the Corvette one of the world’s top ten cars. In Motor Trend magazine, Corvette won in top speed, best braking, and best skidpad categories.
