1977 Corvette Parts
One of the best tweaks made to the 1977 Corvette was the relocation of the steering column. A new steering column positioned the steering wheel two inches closer to the instrument panel to provide more of an “arms out” driving position. For the first time since the Corvette was introduced, leather seats became the standard material in 1977. A cloth-leather combination could be substituted for no additional cost if you so chose.
Something interesting to note about 1977 Corvettes is the change in color of engines. Between August 23 and September 7, 1976, Flint Engine changed from orange to blue paint. Therefore, early production of 1977 Corvette models had orange engines, and later production was blue.
