1965 Corvette Parts
After refining the Corvette Stingray’s design over the past two years, Chevrolet decided to switch gears in 1965. Improvements to the 1965 Corvette model focused mainly on mechanical upgrades.First of all, the big block V8 arrived in the form of Chevrolet’s 396-cubic-inch “L78” engine. Four-wheel disc brakes also became standard, and fuel injection was eliminated. Among others, each of these changes helped improve the car’s handling and drivability even more.
Since the past two C2 Corvette generation models had proven themselves successful for Chevrolet, there was no doubt that the 1965 Corvette would do the same. Sure enough, it came with increased production numbers and sales.
