The Air Conditioning Compressor Clutch Connector Pigtail is a direct replacement for the broken factory connector. For added protection, a clamping diode module is integrated into the pigtail assembly. The clamping diode is needed to prevent voltage spikes. Without it, a voltage spike could cause damage to switches, ECM, or other electronic circuits. To replace the pigtail simply snip the old wire, splice the new pigtail on, heat the shrink sleeve, clamp on the diode and you're finished.
