Description
Urethane bumpers were originally installed on Corvettes at the factory. They will absorb low speed impacts without bumper damage but they have a marginal fit and are subject to warping over time. Color matches on urethane bumpers may be more difficult because a flex agent must be added to the paint, resulting in color shifts. TruFlex bumpers are constructed of fiberglass and a revolutionary new resin, which makes them 70% more flexible than standard fiberglass bumpers. After fitting, they can be painted without adding a flex agent. Early '76 rear bumper covers had a depression for the 'Corvette' name plate.
