Description
The calipers start with a forged aluminum body. The factory cast iron caliper weighs 13.2 lbs, and ours is only 5.8 lbs.
They are fitted with stainless steel pistons and sealed by square-cut O-rings retained in the bore by a groove in the caliper body. The caliper also incorporates stainless bridge wear plates with a spring-loaded bow shape to dampen pad vibration and harmonics.
Fits inside factory 1965-1982 steel wheels, 1963-1966 knock-off wheels or 1967 bolt-on wheels will require a spacer.

63-82 Wilwood Direct Fit Aluminum Brake Caliper Set
We purchased and installed this item on our 1967 Corvette to replace leaky OE cast iron calipers, which even though sleeved, would start leaking after several years. They installed easily and when fully bled provide excellent, non-pulling braking. They even fit American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels. We have had them on the car for 3 years and they are great. We use silicone based brake fluid in the car. My only complaint is that it would be nice if Wilwood would throw in bleeder screw rubber caps with these sets.
