Installation Suggestion:
Over the years the original General Motors die cast tooling has required repair on some of the studs on our 1958-1961 fender spears. These repairs have caused some of the studs to become oversized for the standard size speed nuts that are available for our kits. We recommend that the speed nuts be threaded onto the studs before final installation to determine if modifications will be needed. If the speed nut is too small then the stud will require sanding, or the speed nut can be opened up with a punch & socket to expand the hole to accommodate the stud.
